ndia is a large and diverse country. Its land area includes regions with some of the world's highest rainfall to very dry deserts, coast line to alpine regions, river deltas to tropical islands. The variety and distribution of forest vegetation is large. India is one of the 12 mega biodiverse regions of the world. Ecological issues are an integral and important part of environmental issues challenging Nature Club of mount Carmel College was started since 2013 has always intended to enhance our understanding about the interactions between human beings and environment through various activities. Also, it aims to facilitate the development of skills for environmental protection, to promote environmental awareness among all sections of the society, to spread environment education, especially in the informal and creative manner among younger generation.
To sensitize and mobilize students's participation for preservation and conservation of environmentmount Carmel college Nature club organizes talks, film shows, nature orientation activities, nature trails to national parks and forests to educate the members about their beauty, diversity and the necessity to conserve the treasures of natural resources that are around us.

Motivating students to value environment. To make them aware about the grave situation of nature and means for its conservation.
Being with nature is good for a child’s psychological and physical well-being. It can help reduce stress and improve concentration. Nature club has been formed with the objective of motivating students to value environment and also to enhance motivation to help others.
On 05/06/2018 we conducted a program to celebrate world environmental day. It is celebrated to motivate students to take positive environmental actions in order to protect the nature on this planet. For enhancing their concern towards nature we provided around 300 plants to the staffs and students with a message on the importance of plants on the earth.
As a part of membership campaign we had given awareness about nature club to the students and invited them to become the members of this club. On 02/09/2018 we had our first meeting and name of students were registered and membership cards were issued to them.
On 27/09/2018 we conducted meeting of club members and Mr. Jimmy Jose from 3rd year B.Com tax was selected as the secretary of the club.
On 27/09/2018 we conducted a meeting of club members. On that day the club was decided to provide help to the pilgrims on kanni 20 perunnal and for this various committees were formed. On 1/10/2018 another meeting for club members was conducted prior to organize the activities of kanni 20 perunnal and proper instructions were provided.
In association with kanni 20 perunnal on 02/10/2018 the club members provided help to the pilgrims. The pilgrims were given hot water and lime juice. The club also provided first aid to the pilgrims. The program was started at 10.00 am and continued till 4 in the evening. Most of the club members actively participated in the program.
