Mount Carmel Music

At the beginning of term 3, Year eight students spent some time getting to know the computer music program Acid Music Studio which is a new purchase for Mount Carmel College. As part of their unit looking at music for dance, they were asked to compose a piece of techno dance music using this program. You may find the need to listen to these compositions in an open space as your feet may just be inspired to move in time without you telling them to!

Year 7 classes have been studying the ways that composers tell stories through music over the last few weeks in Music. After listening to Prokofiev’s ‘Peter and the Wolf’, they split into groups to compose their own piece of Program Music based on one of Aesop’s fables.
